Carolina, was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She graduated with a Degree in Law and Political Science from her native country. She relocated to the US, and started teaching her native tongue, Spanish, at “Holy Trinity” School, located in Georgetown, D.C. She enjoyed sharing her culture and knowledge with her middle school students.

She has worked at the Public School System in Readington Township, New Jersey, where she taught Spanish and also worked as “Turnkey Trainer for the World Language Department”. She started the technology club in the Middle School, which motivated her to get a Master’s in Educational Technology from New Jersey City University.

Carolina A. Ramirez, has worked for the prestigious Saint Edward’s School (1:1 Mac School), located in Vero Beach, Florida. She taught Spanish, to middle and high school students, as well as organized the first (of many that followed) “Multicultural Day”, and exposed her students to a more Global view of today’s world. She belonged to the school’s Global Committee, and was able to travel and visit a number of leading schools in North Carolina, and learned about their approach to a more Global Education.

Through these experiences, her passion for technology in education kept growing. She has participated in different conferences as a presenter on how to include technology in the classroom, specifically on the “Language Classroom”. In October of 2017, she obtained her certification as a “Voicethread Educator” and Co-taught an online class on the use of the “Voicethread” Platform in the Language Class.

Last year, she taught Spanish at a distinguished school in South Florida, Christopher Columbus High School (1:1 iPad School). There, she reaffirmed her excitement for incorporating technology into her lessons, making her classes more effective through a higher level of engagement by her students.

These past few years, She have had the opportunity to train teachers in different states in the US and abroad, helping her colleagues to transform their lesson plans and reach each one of their students’ different learning abilities!

In addition, Carolina is a Google for Education Certified Trainer, Apple Teacher, Newsela Certified Educator, VoiceThread Certified Teacher, and is a Certified Teacher in the States of New Jersey and Florida.
